Thejakartatimes – In order to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Yayasan Perguruan Cikini Jakarta, held a concert titled “Seventy Five Spectrum Concert”. The festivity is the 28 th concert as one of the programs to preserve and educate various musical interests as an effort to form the character of the students. Involved hundreds of Cikini college students and alumni and national music lovers.
The Jakarta Arts Center, in Pasar Baru area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (23/12) night, was filled with hundreds of kindergarten (TK) students, elementary school (elementary), junior and senior high school and college students who were members of the Percik group Children Choir and Wind Ensemble Percik.
Being the opening of Seventy Five Spectrum Concert 2017, the invited guests while present in the lobby of the arts building treated to the performance of Karawitan SMK Percik students sang a number of classical Javanese songs. Followed by the performance of Aceh Saman dance from Percik Dance Junior High and SMK 3 Percik Dance which is very dynamic as the opening of the concert that night. Followed by choir performance of kindergarten students wearing flower headband and red dress, they sang “Nusantara” cheerfully.
Subsequent performances are no less sweeping away. A number of traditional dances and music karawitan, pop, dangdut and classic composers famous compositions as well as some local songs Indonesia performed nicely by Wind Ensemble Percik who also came from the same college. The concert mambawakan 23 repertoire, involving 58 students of the Orchestra is led by Conductor Hari Poerwanto.
“The concert that night is a routine activity every year from the Cikini College in order to commemorate the anniversary. As one of the institutions that focus on providing music education, always motivate and be a pioneer of music coaching will also have a good impact on the formation of the character of this nation’s next generation children, “said Poerwanto Day.
In the development of music education in the country, certainly needed regeneration. Therefore, the Cikini School provides an opportunity for students to perform in order to demonstrate their ability as well as to evaluate how to play the instrument also introduces classical music to the community.
Director of Dikdasmen Yayasan Perguruan Cikini, Susiyanto said, “The 75-year-old Cikini Concert Participant is a learner, so it will make them mature because of the learning of our lives playing music. We dedicate the preservation of the arts and culture of the archipelago and the classical music for every heart that grows, the music moves in every movement and change our lives so that harmonious, coherent, wise and productive. ”
The concert that night was also enlivened by all the musicians of musicians such as Debby Nasution, and other singers Wizzy, Galabby, Ricad Hutapea, Daffa Pranadjaya, Princess Marlin, Gabby, Viona Simatupang and Bentara Muda Choir music community under the auspices of Bentara Budaya Jakarta.
