Thejakartatimes – Indonesian Construction Contractor Association (Gapensi) today held a National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) attended by approximately 150 participants from 34 Regional Governing Body (BPD).
The event was also attended by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Rosan P Roeslani and Chairman of BPP Gapensi Iskandar Z.Hartawi, and opened by the Director General of Construction Ministry of PUPR, Syarif Burhanuddin, replacing Minister PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono previously scheduled to attend.
Rapimnas was previously opened by a report from the Secretary General of Gapensi Central Board, Andi Rukman Karumpa.In his report, Andi revealed that Rapimnas Gapensi today should be attended directly by Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono.
However, because there is a duty to accompany President Joko Widodo to Pekalongan, this Rapimnas finally represented only by Directorate General of Construction representing the government.
“The schedule of Rapimnas today is determined directly by the Minister of PUPR and promised to bring directly four of its director general.But because it must accompany Mr. President to Pekalongan, and Director General of SDA and Bina Marga already waiting in West Java, “he said at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (15/1/2018).
The Rapimnas this year carrying the theme of Gapensi’s role in accelerating the infrastructure of the Institute, as per Law Number 2 Year 2017 which is professional and integrity.Infrastructure is known to be the government’s way of cutting logistics costs in Indonesia and increasing connectivity, in order to improve competitiveness.
Infrastructure of roads, bridges, railways, seaports, airports, reservoirs, irrigation facilities into the pulse of the economy.This is believed to increase the productivity of the Indonesian economy.
Chairman of Central Board of Management (BPP) Gapensi, Iskandar Z Hartawi said, the supply chain became one of the attention in accelerating the construction.The construction industry, which in the last three years has been rapidly developing needs supply chain strengthening to support infrastructure development in Indonesia.
