Thejakartatimes – The General Election Commission (KPU) stated that the Justice and Unity Party of Indonesia (PKPI) has not fulfilled the verification requirements of the central management board (DPP). PKPI has not met the requirement because there is a shortage of female officers.

PKPI undergoes verification at the DPP level on Monday (29/1) afternoon. In the verification, PKPI has met two verification points. “Based on the verification result, core management points have been fulfilled, as well as office domicile points,” Hasyim said at DPP PKPI, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, on the stance of women’s management, PKPI is not yet eligible. “For 30 percent of women’s representatives, there should be at least 10 people present, and today there are only nine, so it is less and not yet eligible.” It needs to be repaired to be re-verified, “Hasyim explained.

Separately, another Commissioner of the KPU, Evi Novida Ginting Manik, explained that the current number of PKPI members is 39 people. Of that amount, as many as four female administrators and three male administrators resigned. Of the 39 stewards in the KPU data, four women and three men resigned from the stewardship. So a total of 32 stewardship.

“Of the 32 stewardship if taken 30 percent then there are about 9.6 percent and rounded up.Therefore, there are 10 women in the stewardship. This day there were only nine, one one was absent. So result the representation of female officers status has not meet requirement (BMS), “said Evi.

Meanwhile, until Monday afternoon, the KPU has completed verification of seven political parties from 2019 election participants. Of the seven political parties, only PKPI is a BMS status.

Meanwhile, the verification result of Gerindra Party is not yet known. Five other political parties, namely PKB, PDIP, Golkar Party, PPP and PKS have met the verification requirements at the central level. (Thejakartatimes/EOS/Source: Republika)
