Thejakartatimes – Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Puan Maharani said the government continues to seek the welfare of village communities.
One of the most recent efforts is the signing of an agreement with 4 Ministers so that the implementation of Law No. 6 of 2014 on the Village runs more optimally.
“SKB 4 Ministers is a concrete step to align the 4 Ministries to make more effective the development and utilization of village funds to improve the welfare of the people,” said PMK Puan Maharani after witnessing the signing of the 4 Ministerial Decree on the Harmonization and Strengthening of the Policy on Accelerating Implementation of Law no. 6 Year 2014 on the Village Office Kemenko PMK, Jakarta, Monday, (18/12/2017).
To that end, Puan asserted that the government focuses on poverty alleviation programs in villages in a hurry or synergistic way.
Puan explained that in addition to continuing to streamline the village funds directly to the community, it also encourages the implementation of labor-intensive programs and focuses extra attention on the villages that have many poor people.
“For labor-intensive programs, I can say that there are 100 districts covering 1,000 villages will be the focus of labor-intensive and poverty-reducing programs, and in the early stages of January 2018 we start from 10 districts covering 100 villages,” said the PMK Coordinating Minister.
The signing of the 4th Ministerial Decree was attended by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo, Village Minister, Development of Underdeveloped Region and Transmigration Eko Putro Sandjojo, as well as Minister of PPN and Head of Bappenas Bambang Brodjonegoro.
He explained that in the village fund program and labor-intensive program it will be focused on poverty alleviation and stunting (malnutrition etc). The implementation of this labor-intensive program supports a village fund program that is acceptable to all villages throughout Indonesia.
“If the village funds receive all the villages and keep them in line with the process that is now facilitated through SKB 4 ministers, we will also focus on labor-intensive programs in 10 districts covering 100 villages,” explained Puan.
Furthermore he said that the districts and villages that are the focus of this program are chosen based on the conditions, ie villages with a lot of poor population, basic facilities are inadequate and so on.
“Our target, until the end of 2018 there are 100 districts and 1,000 villages that God willing finished from the problem of poverty and backwardness, or at least reduced,” explained Puan.
Puan added that the SKB 4 minister himself was signed by four ministers, having a special role of each ministry in accelerating and effectiveness of village funds.
“But in the implementation of the program in the village, certainly not only in these four ministries, but by doing many ministries,” said Puan.
Exemplified Puan for example about the provision of nutrition for the community there is Ministry of Health entry, about the construction of basic facilities there is also Ministry of Public Works Pera, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture which takes care of farming farming issues, as well as other relevant ministries.
“So many things are done so the SKB 4 minister will accelerate the program to the villages and regions.” The synergy between ministries, between central and local government to villages is very necessary, “said Puan. (Source: Tribunnews)
