Thejakartatimes – Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General (DGT) of Land Transport some time ago has made nine draft to revise the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 26 Year 2017 on the Implementation of Transport of People with Public Vehicles Not In Route (PM 26) or known as Permenhub taxi online .
The nine formulations are now already poured in the new PM with No. 108 of 2017. This rule is already in the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to be enacted soon.
Secretary General Kemenhub Sugihardjo said, after the Supreme Court’s decision to cancel 14 articles in PM 26, the government again conducted a review of the rules of the taxi online. Through a series of public dialogue to all major cities in Indonesia. Finally the formulation process to make the rules entered into PM Number 108 is completed.
“Based on Organda’s inputs, online transport companies and Organda, it was concluded that 14 articles revoked could have a permanent legal force,” Sugihardjo said.
According to him, indeed not all the good wishes of online and conventional transportation can be accommodated. But from the issuance of PM Number 108, the side to be seen is the safety and comfort of the user, business continuity and a healthy business climate.
“Here Kemenhub stands in the middle, does not side with the taxi online and conventional so accommodate the interests of all parties, with the hope of equality,” he explained. (Thejakartatimes/Elv/Source: Okezone)
