Thejakartatimes – Dozens of elementary school students 01 Menteng Central Jakarta spirit when visited Smart House Elections (RPP) located at the Office of General Election Commission (KPU) Jalan Imam Bonjol Jakarta Thursday (15/2/2018). The presence of these sixth grade students in order to introduce early childhood election about the election process in Indonesia.
In RPP, students can indeed learn about elections in the country through mockups, photos to electoral equipment used so far in both elections and elections.
In his welcoming, Head of Sub Division (Kasubbag) of Community Participation II Region, Rika Salviana gave explanations to the children about the election, ranging from the definition of election, the valid requirements of election, the types of election, to the stage of voters using voting rights in the implementation of the democratic party .
After getting an explanation, the activity continues with the students practicing the direct voting and counting process through the election simulation. Students are divided into three groups, as organizers, participants, and voters. Student cheers broke out as the organizers announced the highest number of votes.
Student Coach SDN 01 Menteng, Nasrullah expressed his gratitude to the KPU that has facilitated the teaching and learning activities of students outside the room. With this activity he hopes his students can understand his role as a voter and exercise his rights and obligations in a democratic country. “Thank God I thank the KPU that has facilitated us and this agenda routine SDN 01 Menteng. Hopefully the students become obedient to democracy, “said Nasrullah.
