Thejakartatimes – The performance of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is estimated to still be losers in 2017. However, the losses experienced by the company continue to decrease every quarter.
Garuda Indonesia Finance Director Helmi Imam Satriyono said that although the fourth quarter financial report has not been released yet. But he did not dismiss the possibility of the company is still red.
“Consolidatedly, Garuda still losses in 2017, but lower than 2016. 2018, we want to be a profitable company,” he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (23/1/2018).
Looking at 2018, Hilmi explained that the company targets a consolidated revenue of US $ 4.9 billion or grows 19.51 percent from the same period last year of US $ 4.1 billion.
To achieve the target, the company also targets to increase the number of passengers by 2.5 million to 26.5 million people. In addition, cargo and charter business aircraft will also be better than last year. With this year’s revenue growth plan, Garuda Indonesia targets a net profit of US $ 8.7 million.
In addition, Garuda Indonesia targets total consolidated assets to reach US $ 5.3 billion with liabilities and equities of US $ 4.2 billion and US $ 1.18 billion, respectively, throughout 2018.
“Therefore, we expect 2020 Garuda earnings to reach US $ 170 million.Resume price will also rise from the current Rp 300-an,” said Helmi.
As of the third quarter of 2017, PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk recorded a loss attributable to owners of the parent entity rose to US $ 222.03 million from the same period last year US $ 44 million.
Meanwhile, the company’s revenues increased to US $ 3.11 billion as of the third quarter of 2017 from US $ 2.86 billion in the same period last year.
