Cumulative Surplus 12 Billion, Value of Trade Transactions November Surplus 0.13 Billion US Dollar

Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) noted, the total value of Indonesian exports in November 2017 reached 15.28 billion US dollars, while the value of Indonesian imports in November 2017 reached 15.15 billion dollars.

“Cumulatively, the value of Indonesian exports from January to November 2017 reached 153.90 billion US dollars or an increase of 17.16 percent over the same period in 2016. The cumulative import value from January to November 2017 amounted to 14.188 billion US dollars or an increase of 15.47 percent compared to the same period last year, “said Head of BPS K. Suhariyanto in a press conference at BPS Head Office, Jakarta, Friday (15/12) morning.
According to Suhariyanto, the export value of November 2017 increased 0.26 percent compared to October 2017. Meanwhile, compared to November 2016, it increased by 13.18 percent. The import value of Indonesia November 2017 rose 6.42 percent compared to October 2017, as well as when compared with November 2016 increased 19.62 percent.

According to the Head of BPS, the largest increase of non-oil / non-gas exports in November 2017 compared to October 2017 occurred in animal / vegetable fats and oils of 152.3 million US dollars (8.04 percent), while the largest decrease occurred in ores, silver and metal ash of US $ 133 , 5 million US dollars (28.55 percent).

The largest non-oil / gas export in November 2017 was to China, which was 2.22 billion US dollars, followed by the United States 1.51 billion US dollars, and Japan 1.33 billion US dollars, with the contribution of the three reached 36.07 percent. While exports to the EU (28 countries) amounted to 1.38 billion US dollars.

According to province of origin of goods, Indonesia’s largest export in January-November 2017 came from West Java with a value of 26.89 billion US dollars (17.47 percent), followed by East Java 16.97 billion US dollars (11.03 percent) and East Kalimantan 16.02 billion US dollars (10.41 percent).

Machinery and Aircraft

Regarding imports, Head of BPS K. Suhariyanto said that the import value of Indonesia November 2017 reached 15.15 billion US dollars or up 6.42 percent compared to October 2017. Similarly, compared to November 2016 increased 19.62 percent.

“Non-oil / gas imports in November 2017 reached 12.92 billion US dollars, up 7.37 percent compared to October 2017, as well as if compared to November 2016 increased by 18.05 percent,” explained Suhariyanto.

He said oil and gas imports in November 2017 reached 2.23 billion US dollars, up 1.22 percent compared to October 2017 and also increased by 29.56 percent compared to November 2016.

The biggest increase of non-oil / gas imports in November 2017 compared to October 2017, according to Suhariyanto, is machineries and mechanical aircraft 378.5 million US dollars (19.32 percent), while the biggest decrease is cereal group of 67.9 million US dollars (20.95 percent ).

The country’s largest non-oil / gas imports supplier during January-November 2017, according to BPS Head, was occupied by China with a value of 31.78 billion US dollars (26.46 percent), Japan 13.89 billion US dollars (11.56 percent), and Thailand 8.44 billion US dollars (7.03 percent). Non-oil imports from ASEAN are 20.37 percent, while the EU is 9.32 percent.

Head of BPS K. Suhariyanto stated that the import value of all classes of goods, consumption, raw materials / auxiliaries as well as capital goods, increased from 15.19 percent, 16, 37 percent, and 11.53 percent.
